Tailored Minds Academy Inc Liability Waiver

This Liability Waiver & Release of Claims (“Agreement”) is entered into by the parent or legal guardian (“Parent/Guardian”) of the student listed below (“Student”) and Tailored Minds Academy Inc, including its board of directors, instructors, staff, volunteers, and representatives (“Program”).

Assumption of Risk

While the Program prioritizes student safety, the Parent/Guardian understands that participation in any educational setting involves ordinary and foreseeable risks, including, but not limited to, minor injuries, slips or falls, allergic reactions, or illness.
Parent/Guardian voluntarily assumes all such risks associated with the Student’s participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Program.

Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parent/Guardian hereby releases, waives, and discharges the Program from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising out of or related to the Student’s participation in Program activities, whether occurring on-site or during Program-sponsored activities.

Medical Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency, reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Parent/Guardian. Parent/Guardian authorizes the Program to obtain emergency medical treatment for the Student if immediate care is required and Parent/Guardian cannot be reached.
Parent/Guardian agrees to be financially responsible for any medical care provided.

Allergies, Medical Conditions, and Special Needs

Parent/Guardian agrees to disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect the Student’s safety or participation. Failure to disclose may limit the Program’s ability to provide appropriate accommodations.

Severability

If any portion of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the state of Florida.

Woven Woodlands learn best when academics feel purposeful and connected to the real world. Direct instruction is balanced with interactive practice, projects, experiments, and games, so students stay engaged while building deeper understanding. Lessons emphasize movement, problem solving, collaboration, and exploration.

What this looks like in Woven Woodlands

  • Direct teaching that is concise and targeted; followed by hands-on practice and movement based learning 
  • Math instruction that blends conceptual understanding, fluency, games, visual models, and real world problems 
  • Writing and reading workshops that mix structured lessons with independent and small group practice 
  • Project blocks in science and social studies where students investigate big ideas, research topics, learn from experts and create meaningful products 
  • Continued focus on morning movement; yoga, stretching, or calisthenics to prepare the brain for learning 
  • Whole class breaks that give students time to reset so they return ready for focused work 
  • Independent reading time each afternoon; paired with teacher check ins for comprehension and oral reading 
  • Integration of stories, creative challenges, and collaborative activities that bring learning to life

Every Woven Woodland student receives a tailored academic plan that honors their independence and supports steady growth across all subjects. Students build confidence as readers, writers, problem solvers, and community members because their learning plan is built around their strengths, interests, and areas of growth. The curriculum is individualized, skill checklists guide content progression, and students move forward when they are ready.
