Admissions
Finding the right school matters.
At Tailored Minds Academy, admission is a thoughtful process that brings together learners who will thrive in a small, nurturing, academically rich environment. Children who do well here are curious, kind, and eager to learn. Many have language-based learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, auditory processing differences, or executive function challenges. Others are creative thinkers who simply flourish in a setting built around individual strengths rather than rigid grade level expectations.
Our goal is simple; match each child with a learning community where they feel known, supported, and excited to come to school.

FAQ
Do you require a diagnosis?
No. A diagnosis is not required for admission.
What if the school is full?
Accepted students will be placed on a waitlist. Families will be offered seats as soon as openings become available.
How do you determine placement?
Age, prior schooling, academic readiness, social needs, and independence skills guide placement.
Do you admit midyear?
Yes, until February of the current school year.
What if my child struggles socially or emotionally?
We work with families to understand the source of the struggle and provide thoughtful guidance.
Are there behavior expectations?
Yes. Students are expected to come ready to learn and to treat peers, teachers, and the environment with respect.
Can families select only certain classes?
No. All enrollment pathways are full program commitments.
What if a family leaves mid year?
Families are responsible for the contract until the enrolled seat is filled.
Do you allow one on one aides or RBTs?
Tailored Minds Academy is designed for students who can participate independently within a small, supportive classroom environment. At this time, we are not able to accommodate one-on-one aides, RBTs, or outside support providers during the school day. Our model relies on carefully designed instruction, consistent routines, and close teacher support rather than individual aides. If a child requires dedicated behavioral or therapeutic support to access learning, we may not be the right fit, although we are always happy to help families think through alternative options.
Do you teach real science and social studies?
Yes. We value evidence-based science and history that honors accuracy, context, and critical thinking.
Do you welcome all families?
Absolutely. We serve families of every background and expect the same respect and openness from those who join our community.
Let’s Talk About the Right Fit for Your Child
